London Day 7 | Adventures of Brooke Marcella | Brooke Marcella Photography

When I came to London I knew it was going to rain a lot, but this Arizonan had no idea that it would rain THIS MUCH! By day 7 I was just a little bit tired of the rain. We had woken up and gotten ready to sit out and wait for the changing of the guards at the beautiful Buckingham Palace. This is such popular attraction because it only happens at 11:30am and people start to line up around 9:30am or 10am just to see it and of course when we arrived it was already raining :( I guess they have a wet and dry version of the changing of the guard, but apparently this day was too wet so they ended up canceling it!! We stood out in the rain for almost an hour and got to see absolutely nothing. :( Here an umbrella selfie while I was waiting...and don't worry, we don't give up that easily...stay tuned for Buckingham Palace take two in a couple of days :)2014_LondonBlog_bs-52We were all kind of down and out about the changing of the guards, but more importantly hungry or what is now known to the group as hangry (hungry and angry ;)). We looked up this awesome place called The Breakfast Club and it had raving review so we decided to check it out and it did not disappoint! All the restaurants in London are extremely small and when you think small go ahead and shrink it down some more and then you will have a London restaurant. Since it is so small and popular we actually waited outside for AN HOUR just to eat here! We didn't think it would take that long, but once we waited about 30 minutes we were already committed so we couldn't leave :) But the wait was definitely worth it! I started off the meal with an Elvis shake...vanilla ice cream, peanut butter, and banana. DELICIOUS!!! If you know me at all you know my favorite meal is pancakes and potatoes, so what did I get..exactly that :) It was safe to say I was in a food coma by the time we walked out of that place.

After my food coma I obviously had to work off some calories, so we did what girls to best...SHOP :) We went to Oxford St. and saw all the fancy stores and all the cute little boutiques. Fun Fact: They have a TJ Max, but it is called TK Max! After that we went to one of the many shopping/food markets called Camden and it was awesome! So many cool little shops where I got handmade leather notebooks, an awesome painting of the London Bridge skyline, clothes :), and an AWESOME tapestry...let's just say my suitcase was getting pretty full by the time I left there :)

Stay tuned for day 8!
