My trip is a six weeks long and unfortunately I couldn't bring six weeks worth of clothes, so eventually had to do laundry and that day happen to be today. Now let me just say I have been doing my own laundry for years and know not to mix colors, whites, darks, jeans, etc., but when you only have two very
small washers and dryers you just have to work with what you got. Back to the point. The only whites I had were my socks and I did not want to stick around to do another load just for my socks, so I just threw them in with my colors...well I'm sure you can guess that it didn't turn out good. When I opened the washer I was pleasantly surprised to see all my socks were now a blue/gray color, but that's not all! I had a light pink shirt with black polka dots (one of my favorite shirts) that also turned the ugliest shade of gray I have ever seen. Okay maybe I'm being dramatic, but it definitely was not my light pink shirt anymore :( The picture does not look that bad, but trust me it was ugly haha!
After my laundry fiasco we went to the National Portrait Gallery
, which was really awesome! It's essentially an art gallery that holds paintings/photographs of famous British people or people who had a big impact on the UK. They had modern painting and also some really classic pieces of all the past royalty.
