Cookies at midnight? Guilty. Candy for lunch? Guilty. Sweets anytime of the day? Guilty. I am a sucker for sweet treats and junk food! BUT I decided that I needed to start eating healthier and get on the right track because I am not in high school anymore and my body definitely knows that LOL!
Two weeks ago I found a diet/cleanse off Pinterest that seemed pretty good and something I could accomplish. My boyfriend, Andy, also joined along and together we were determined to finish it. I went to the grocery store and bought load of fruits and veggies on Sunday and we were ready to roll. If any of you keep up with my Facebook page you already know what happened…but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.
Day 1: It was all fruits day! I thought this would be so easy since I love fruits, but it wasn’t. Why you may ask, because I never felt full or satisfied. Fruits contain so much water that it just went straight to my bladder and add 10 glasses of water; let’s just say I made frequent trips to the bathroom. LOL.
Day 2: All the veggies you can eat and I really am limited with the amount of veggies I like, so I was a little concerned. Surprisingly, I found myself craving carrots and they were delicious! But don’t let me fool you I was still struggling. After picking up my friend at the airport I called Andy and told him I was starving! He dittoed my statement and off to In ‘n Out we went. I had what was possibly the best burger ever!
Yes, I caved in and couldn’t even make it to the end of Day 2 (I love food too much!), but I still have been eating all the fruits and veggies I bought with limited junk food intake. Maybe in the future I’ll try again, but for now I love my sweets too much :)
If any of you are going to try a cleanse I recommend asking a doctor or nutritionist before hand to make sure your body can handle it :)
